They went INSIDE the volcano? I call BS

Lava is about 2000*F, a person could get pretty close to it and be OK (within a few feet depending on the wind and if they are above or beside it). In contrast the surface of the sun is about 5 times hotter (while its core is somewhere around 25 million degrees F).

To compare, an oxy-acet blowtorch gets to about 6000*F.

I heard that these dudes planned to go get more rope and get closer.
All it would take is one "whoopsy daisy" and inceneration is likely...

The guy in the silver suit would be fine, except he has no gloves. That's what gave it away, gloves would have to be a must
