They're trying to keep the traffic cameras...

"Buster" Miller, mayor of Macongo, announced on Nextdoor recently that all you have to do is swear an affidavit attesting that you weren't the driver of the vehicle. Boom. Ticket dismissed.

Imagine. All you have to do is tell an untruth......to a government......that never tells the truth.
I thought you used to be able to do that, but they changed the law to make the OWNER of the vehicle liable for the fine whether they were driving or not. Now you'd have to file an affidavit saying the vehicle was stolen to get out of it.

Well.....Buster did get his law degree from Mercer Law. Maybe his eyes are on the $9-$11 mm in revenue they squeeze from Macongonites rather than reading current statutes.

Lehtos Law on YouTube has an entire episode about a camera company in Clayton Co that issued tickets to drivers on Sundays and after 6:00 PM in the evening with not even the flashing lights. One recipient called and finally got a human on the phone. Said human claimed it was "a glitch" and not to worry about it. But it can NOT be a glitch when it happens enough to make an extra $500K that they weren't legally entitled to.
On top of that I for one am completely against a PRIVATE company or entity ENFORCING LAWS.
My wife got a ticket from a camera with a pic of the Kia Soul in it . You could clearly see the back of MY head. So she wasn't driving but THEY didn't give a ****. Now in the actual legal traffic law world you can't write a citation to someone that ain't even in the ****in car at the time of the offense. But somehow that's all fine good and legal when it comes to the city and county raking in MILLIONS from private companies that should NOT have the power to write anyone a ticket.
Yea I saw that video , he talks about class action suites in (I think ) VA , over Tag Readers ,

Just last night on WMAZ News I saw where there's a bill to allow cops to take DNA samples from people that were just arrested along with fingerprints and other personal info. The guy sponsoring it claims that it works both ways. As in not only will it help catch criminals of unsolved crimes but will also help free the innocent. And THAT was 110.5% BULL****! I can't recall how many articles I've read about wrongly convicted rapists and murderers ( especially in GA) that were proven to be innocent by DNA after years or decades of fighting the system. And damn near every time it happens the DA from the case/district will STILL block those guys from being released. Why? Because their trial record and egos are WAY more important than the pitiful pathetic actual victims.
I know Felons give DNA but I was in the infirmary years ago in County Jail & I wonder where all the blood they took went ????

One of my few friends works for Mercer Campus PD. They deal with Bibb Co S.O. everyday. Turns out there was one deputy responsible for monitoring the cameras for Bibb Co. Super easy do nothing job. But just like Bibb Co deputies this guy decided to do a no show to his gravy gig even though he was clocked in. So periodically he would check in and sign off on all the tickets to be sent. He eventually got caught and fired. And so where did the **** sorry mother ****er go? Houston Co. It seems like Houston would have an unwritten policy against hiring anyone from Bibb Co especially someone who was fired from Bibb Co but nooo...
