what say you ODT guys? sunnto core or casio mudman? amazon reviews on the suunto seem mixed. Anyone in ODT land have experience with either of these?

thinking about a suunto core or a casio mudman?

I wore a mudman for years. loved it. Can't wear watches at my job now so I kinda got out of wearing them but at my previous job I really abused a mudman. Only thing I didn't like was the occasional snag on stuff. Battery lasted about 6 years.
read the reviews on the suunto, very poor !!!
I have owned both and they both have their place. The Suunto is the nicer of the two, and more accurate if used as intended. The mudman is more robust and will hold up to abuse better.
If you're a hiker/backpacker and use the watch for information, go with the suunto. If you're an outdoorsman and/or work with your hands, get the mudman.
I sold both of and have the rangeman now and it holds up to abuse just fine.
If you want a ABC computer that also tells time, nothing is better than Suunto. If you want a watch that can also give you a compass bearing, go with the Casio.

Garmin tactix bravo is the bomb. I love mine. I've had Suunto's and others but man, I love the Bravo.
