Thinking of Selling Some of My Suppressors

if you are selling to someone in state (the easiest option) then you would have the buyer pay you (sometimes people will pay 50% now and the rest when the stamp comes in). They submit the form 4 and $200 to the ATF. You keep possession of the can till the buyer receives their stamp. Once they receive the stamp, they bring it to you and pay the remainder and you give them the can. If it's a friend and the can is on a trust you might be able to add them to the trust in the mean time so they could possibly take possession and use it while waiting for the transfer to them or their trust. Not sure about that part but seems I did hear that might an option if on a trust (and you trust the other person to be on your trust, like your closest friend. not some random stranger you want to sell you can to).
Given the speed of the form 4s for individuals these days, it's a little more likely to be able to sell a silencer to an in state buyer within a reasonable amount of time.
I am not sure but I think out of state you have to do a form 4 to their FFL/SOT (you pay the $200 tax) and then the buyer has to do another Form 4 to the buyer (and another $200 tax) so double the time and double the $200 fee, hence the rarity of selling a suppressor to anyone out of state.

100% you can sell face to face. Done it before. Get 100% up front with a bill of sale. Do the Form, mail and wait. When the stamp comes back - he owns it legally. Have to do paper - not EForm.
Really pizzs me off. Never got one in less than 10 months, and most took 12 months.
There's a lot of heavy breathing and baited breath waiting on an update on your can list, including me, but..
