It's pretty cool, but I saw it as a kid. I wanted to take my son there on our way back from the Grand Canyon. It costs something stupid like 20 bucks a person to see it so for the three of us it was 60 bucks plus souvenirs to look at a big hole in the ground. Kinda chapped my ass.

No. You pay on your way in. I don't remember what it costs but it was much cheaper than the crater.
