My boy Rocko. 9 year old white Boxer. Best fur-buddy I've ever owned. I've had him since before I met my wife and had my son. He's not doing so well now with Pancreatitis. Not looking forward to the next doc appointment.

So sorry to hear brother. Hope Rocko gets a clean bill of health.

Our 14 yr old Yorkie also suffers from Pancreatitus. The Vet has her on a prescription dog food...Royal Canin Gastrointestional. She's been on this food for over a year and it's helped her greatly!!
Pricey, and requires a Vet prescription to purchase but a 4 lb Yorkie doesn't eat much.

...and the husky on the right was a rescue that is the sweetest one of the bunch. My theory is he knows what's it like to be starved of food and attention so he appreciates it more.

I had a pit/boxer mix from the pound. She was always very very sweet. I said the same thing- I think she knew what was coming if she didn't get out of there.

Hoping that can be a fix. Thanks for the info. I'll talk to my vet about the option.

My pugs had pancreatitis. One ended up being diabetic with two insulin shots a day and RX dog food. She is now blind because cataracts due to diabetes. The other made it through pancreatitis without becoming a diabetic. I give them Science Diet W/D that I get from the Vet. Fatty foods and stuff high in carbohydrates leads to Pancreatitis. My vet said mine should only eat vegetables, and white meat chicken that is baked or the RX food. I give them baby carrots for treats. They love the carrots.

Alli is up top. Bear is below. Bear is a Chocolate Lab that I got when he was ten weeks old. He will be seven years old in September. He is typical Lab....a good dog if all food is kept under lock and key. Alli is mostly Rat Terrier with some Pug in the mix. Not sure how old she is. I got her as a rescue about 4 years ago. Like many rescues, she seems to appreciate how lucky she is to have a real home.
