Crappie are easy, just like breamnever done much crappie fishing but would love to learn.(because i love to eat them) I mostly go for panfish /bass in our small farm pond or henry county reservoirs. my real love is little bitty trout every opportunity i get to N Ga.
There are so many ways to catch them. Find some structure. Then locate the depth they're at. You can use live or artificial bait. You can go at night and use lights. Fish off the bank, boat or docki guess i need something other than a flyrod and kayak... Bro in law has a nice riverhawk boat he said i could borrow or buy..My understanding you have to fish pretty deep?
There are few large enough to fillet.......Caught 52 crappie today nothing special wife wanted me to keep about 20 under 10” for scaling.we old folks don’t mind eating them whole without filleting them
