Few carp from the honeyhole

We fished the Toccoa River today
I caught a ton of these fingerling Rainbows. They were everywhere. It's good to see the trout reproducing naturally in that river.

This big boy was a surprise when I was fly fishing for trout today! To be honest, I was a little disappointed when I saw it was a bass. I thought I had hooked into a monster trout.

Do you fish out of a boat at the spillway? If so, could you fish it from the bank or in a kayak?

I fish from the bank. You could put in a kayak and float the river. There are good spots all the way to the Hwy 136 take out point. The kayak is actually a better option but of course it takes 2 vehicles. There are some really nice fish in the 20 to 30 pound range you could catch floating the river.
