A friend of mine wants to trade me his TRP Operator for one of my Hk's only issue I'm running into is finding a threaded barrel for it in order to run suppressed. I think the barrel is a bit obscure as he told me it's a bull barrel and seems to be one of the biggest reasons I'm having trouble. I did contact storm lake as that was the recurring name I kept finding but they informed me they do not make a drop-in threaded barrel specifically for that model. Anyone have any leads on just a straight drop-in threaded barrel or is conversion to a threaded barrel not that simple?

They ain't fast, they ain't cheap.... but make great stuff!

Like $300ish.... Idk how much they are now, they did mine in middle of 2013
That's actually not bad really when I was expecting at least $225 if I was able to find the barrel myself. Is it easy to swap the barrels out between threaded and non, or once you have the conversion you leave it be? Either way I may try to call them here tomorrow and see if they could give me an estimate.

You can go right on their website and order it... It should be "Drop in barrel for a Springfield Armory 1911 Full Size (5" barrel), 45ACP, Wilson/Nowlin, Bushing Style." but don't quote me.

FYI, the guy is a ***khead... but makes really, really nice stuff... So it's worth the abuse!

None of the pictures shown here apply to a TRP Op. TRP Op's do not have a bushing. The only place I know you can get one is from SACS and they require you to send in the gun so they can fit the barrel.

I've never heard/seen a drop-in threaded bull barrel. Your best bet is to call a custom shop and see how much they will charge (SACS, Harrison, Ed brown, etc)
