Time for a new(er) truck...

Look up the transmission defect on the 16 17 and 18 8 speed transmission man! I just got out of a 17 Denali truck with the 8 speed transmission. It and many others has an issue you need to know about before you buy. The 10 speed transmission is great but I wouldn’t get close to the 8 speed. Friend to friend!
The one I’m looking at has the 6 speed transmission. I’ll check to see if they had any issues as well. Thanks

I had a ‘14 Tundra Sr5 4wd with the 5.7 and it was a great truck. Now in a ‘19 Ram 3500 SRW with the HO Cummins and Asin transmission. If I could turn back time, I would’ve kept my Tundra! The Ram is a good truck, but the Tundra was almost paid off. Seems I am a sucker for debt! Seriously considering selling and going back to a later model Tundra.

If mine was a 4WD, I’d be keeping it for sure.

Could always buy a classic truck that's been restored or something already in great condition. Holly has an efi carburetor that would take the hassle out of the older engine design flaw's and make it a great daily driver.

Most likely cheaper and won't burden you with a long finance term. Never know what the economic future holds with Biden in control.

Here is my belief: domestic vehicles, inexpensive maintenance and much easier. Imported vehicles, super expensive maintenance. Any of them, as soon as you drive off from the dealership, is considered “used” and loses 20% of the value.

I totally agree with what you’re saying, but you have to pay close attention. My dd is an Equinox.....I call it my Chevrolasian...engine was made in China, trans was made in Japan..........then they assembled it in Canada. It’s a good vehicle, but I think the only thing domestic about is the bowtie in the grill!

Back before COVID shut down my travel, i would spend a week or two at a time in whatever new trucks I could rent. With the exception of a naturally aspirated V6 F150, the Silverado was the most disappointing of the bunch. I found the 5.3 to be underpowered and sluggish, especially compared to the 5.7 in my Tundra.

If I had to replace my Tundra right now, I'd be looking at an F150 with the 3.5 Ecoboost. More power, better gas mileage. I love my Tundra, but if I can get more power and beat the 13-15 mpg I'm getting right now, I'm definitely interested.

Toyota needs to hurry up and release the next-gen twin-turbo Tundra.

Love my F150 Platinum with the 3.5 Ecoboost..... I will stay away from the newer ones with Aluminum body

Run from GM products!!! Ford or Toyota only way to go. Chevy is JUNK!!!
I think it’s all relevant to the individuals perspective. I have owned one brand new Ford and I wore out the road back and forth to the dealership with issues. Never owned a Dodge but my son-in-law said he would never own another one after the transmission issues he had with his truck. And Toyota has its share of duds. Knock on wood...my Tundra has been a great truck that just doesn’t fit my need anymore.

I drive a 14 FX2 Ecoboost and never had a problem and going on 100k miles. My friend put it this way as a higher up Chrysler/Dodge guy:

Ford for luxury
Chevy/GMC for looks
Dodge for work

Is something wrong with your current truck? I don't want or like debt.
