just spent the last hour troubleshooting a problem with a HP tech over the phone on an issue i had with installing my new printer. when the "tech" goes well we can take a look at your laptop remotely to see what the problem is.... I thought i heard him wrong at first and asked him to repeat the question and he said yeah we can just take control for your computer from here (what ever country he is in) and look around in it. well needless to say i was like the hell you are. pretty crazy world we are in where computer companies can do that.
 
LOL. "Remote desktop" has been standard feature on windows machines for close to 10 years. And by close to I mean I think MORE than.

Happily, you DO have to send permission prior to the initial connection for it to work though.
