I started answering spam calls in French. "Bonjour!" and then rattle on with the 3-4 sentences I remember from school. So far it works very well and they will ask if I speak Spanish but never got one that speaks French ... yet!

I need to watch some videos from Russia so I can use that to answer spam calls in case I get a French speaker.

Wife speaks French pretty well. We spent a couple of weeks in France a few years ago and she had fun actually using the language. I learned how to say 'check please' and thank you and that was about it.

I said si a bunch instead of oui. Wife thought it was funny. I got her back in Italy when I said 'hold on a moment, I got this. Si`!!!
