I hate to hear that and hope he is doing better....Most of my gut and stomach are gone, but my responsibility is to my Bride...As I am a care giver now and feel it my duty, to stay as healthy as I can..Tain't happy about it but,,,,That's life...

Everyone pushing the flu vaccine says it isn't possible, but I know from bitter experience, every time I got a flu shot (had to when I was in the Navy) I got the flu, every time since, when I wasn't forced to take it, I haven't caught the flu. Maybe it is just me, but I have heard may others say the same thing.

Well, I know it does happen.

1976 on a carrier in the Med we were given the swine flu vaccine. Every member of the Marine Detachment got terribly sick. We couldn’t even stand our nuclear posts and the Navy guys in Weapons Division had to cover for us, for about a week. It was so bad they changed the rules, only half of any detachment could get a shot at one time after that. I remember it was even covered in Wikipedia somewhere.

That was a fluke though, so I get my shot every year.....

...as for the video conferencing , I told my pc that if he didn't want to see me face to face without a mask , he could go to hell....I'd rather die old and alone like a soldier in the field.... he said go ahead...

I agree! Bill I have gone to Jasper and enrolled there for my Primary care...30 minutes closer..I hate this video crap..

Must be the generation gap because I love video conferencing with my Docs, especially my shrink cause I can set there cleaning firearms through the whole conference. LOL I kid.

Im younger and I’ve done a couple of video conferences. Not really my thing. What you make up for with convenience you definitely lose that face to face interaction like seeing mannerisms and such. Also, I’m pretty sure my last VA rate increase was disapproved bc of video conferencing. It was a chill phone call asking how I was doing as opposed to getting to the bottom of the issues. But if you need a prescription refill or a referral, video conferencing is the way to go.
