I am wanting to build a DD M4 and when it asked me about the flash suppressor it asks if I want it pinned or not pinned. Can someone thell me what this means and what is the difference?

16" barrel, do not pin, under 16" barrel pin to make it 16". Its a way to attach the flash hider perm. and make the overall barrel length greater than 16". It also makes it hard to change the flashider if you choose to do so

Unless you add the correct mount from the get go you will have to pay to remove it, as its supposed to be permament. Also you prob wont be able to change your handguards depending on the config you go with since you cant take the gas block off.

I went this route before, now I just do SBR's so it doesnt have to be pinned

you could, or you could do that with the 51thooth mount, then down the road you get the sr-7 which is the new AAC 5.56 can. To bad you pinned on the 51tooth cause the sr-7 is a 90thooth mount. Thats my point the pinning is more of a perm. thing
