My opinion is carry how you feel comfortable. Not everyone feels comfortable shoving a gun down their pants lol. It is impossible to predict how a criminal will react because everyone is different. We can play the odds but no one knows for sure so just carry how you want to carry just be responsible and a good example of gun owners of America.

Just want to applaud you for open-carrying a Taurus Judge. I wanted to talk to you but worried it'd draw unwanted attention in a place I'd assume that wasn't pro carry to begin with. Hopefully OC will become more common, it's a nice thing to see.

I have been carrying for 3 years now and my shirt is usually concealing my weapon i have had at times felt uncomfortable with certain people around me so i will unconceal my gun into oc i would rather detour someone than have to kill them in general conversation most would rather conceal so they can use their weapon and i would rather not have to take another persons life

Yes! That happens ALL THE TIME!! I remember seeing 13 articles yesterday alone where badguys were robbing places and shooting open carriers first. I mean, just look at the overwhelming statistics from every state that allows open carry...in every single one of them, there are hundreds of open carriers getting slaughtered every day by bad guys shooting them first in robberies. Thank you so much for making this point!

I am not saying that the person he observed was doing something wrong, only that when you open carry you are on display. Personally I would prefer to be concelled. That is a individual choice, to each his own. In my opinion there is no need to draw attention to yourself. Doing something just because you can is not a good reason in my book.
