Nephews home from school. Has three of his buddies in town for the day and they are heading to the beach tomorrow. He states his friends have never shot a gun in their lives. So I packed up my toys and we spent to afternoon just burning thru my ammo stash. First I was a little concerned, but 2 bulk packs of federal 22lr , and a couple boxes of 38 sp later, I could have cared less. To see the boys spend time together and laugh, made it worthwhile. When we got done, they thanked me and loaded up for the beach.

Guess my point is, regardless of what the outside world is doing, it is still worthwhile doing what we all love to do. It made me smile.

Thank you for sharing their experience with us! This is exactly why I coach our 4H S.A.F.E. shotgun team. It is a little frustrating scrounging around for ammo but seeing these kids learning and enjoying this sport makes it all worthwhile. KUDOS to you sir and if more folks would do this they would enjoy the same thing. I bet there are kids in every subdivision/neighborhood that have never experienced this other than a damn video game. Not just boys either, as I have 2 young ladies that enjoy the sport and are quite proficient with them as well! Most kids today don't have an adult that can/will teach them the correct way to handle firearms safely. You may be their best chance at discovering this sport.
