Too Cold To Hunt/Fish?

As a young man the weather had no effect on the decision to go.as I’m older on blood thinners, retired, I see no reason to go
on days of misery.killing has also become a lot less important.

I agree.....I was never really a hunter....I'm more of a fisherman. Warm days....lol.

I plan on fly fishing tomorrow regardless of the weather. Will get out every 15-20 minutes or so to warm up by the fire then get back into the river to continue fishing.

Fished Wedowee one time when it was 14* and about every 4th or 5th turn of the handle had to dip the rod tip in the water to get the ice off.

Fished a few tournaments where we had to dump buckets of water out in front of the trucks as they came up the ramp to melt the ice so they could get up the ramp

I went out this morning. I ice fished at least 3 times a week during winter before moving here and miss it. At my camp in NY we'd snowmobile down to 0, it was a little nippier anything below that but Polish Blackberry Brandy always fixed that problem.
