Tops tracker knife???

The Tom Brown Tracker? Depends on what practical means to you. If you spend most your time in the woods and know how to use the knife for it's intended purpose wonderful knife. If your definition of practical is just to wear it around town and treat it as a utility knife then NO

I'm looking for a edc knife that will make a good survival knife as well. So I'm wanting the blade to be under 5inches so its easier to carry every day.
Any suggestions?

Esee Izula II or the Tops Felony Stop are both really handy and not too big...or an Esee3

Here is a pic of the E3 and the Felony Stop side by side..

I had a fullsize Tracker and it was a cool knife. Like someone else mentioned, if you want a knife to use for it's intended purposes in the woods, it's a good knife. The downside to it, it weighs a ton which makes it a little impractical for me. It would never work as an EDC. I second the Esee Izula II or Esee 3 as an EDC.

It would not be my 1st choice as an EDC but if your heart is set on it go for it. Please give us an after action report.
If I found one at a decent price I'd give it a shot.
