Toughest Rail?

I like the BCM KMR. Easy to lock into the correct position and solid. If you want onto go full bore, get the magnesium alloy one.

Daniel Defense RIS II is the rail, now depending on your application you’d prob be fine with
Daniel defense: MFR (Mlok) or DDM4 (quad)
BCM: MCMR , QRF
Centurion: C4 (comes in mlok or quad)
HODGE/FN/SOLGW wedge lock: (mlok only and longer than 12” 13.5” i believe )
KAC: Whatever there models are called I don’t recall
Midwest: I’d look at the G3M and SP versions they are larger in OD but much more rigid as a result
Geissiele/ALG: any of their stuff is decent.

I don't have a lot of experience with it but I recently purchased a Stinger HWK hand guard. It's thick and substantial and light for it's size but will need to handle it more to really asses it. It on a freshly build 6.8spcll and I haven't shot it yet but it really seems to be a solid piece. They are not cheap but none of the others are either. I like to try different products out there to get my own knowledge base built up. So I like what I feel and see but again I need to handle the gun more. Just waiting on sights or optic selection. Don't know which way I want to go. I prefer open sights on the move, just always have. I don't like the shroud effect of an optic on the move. I get a cleaner field of view.
I also saw some drop test on a few of the upper end units and the Geissele failed pretty bad. They seem to be have a few issues that need worked out with some of their parts. Mainly bolt catch and that one particular handguard. I will have to get back to you with that Geissele part number. I am sure they are working on it but it hit the gas block on the drop test and it wasn't pretty. Sometimes that's the way it goes. They are a great co. so I am sure they will correct it.
I also have tried F4 defense and was thick and not to heavy. However there was one I tried and I wasn't fond of their retaining system. The barrel nut was crosshatched and that was it. The stinger has a superior locking system all together. Can't remember off the top of my head but it was one I tried last year and removed it.
Anyway that's just a couple others you might want to look at. Maybe read up on and decide after that. There is always the big four to fall back on. Just a couple of mentionable options. There are a lot of good options popping up every day so try branching out and Good luck in your endeavors.

You’re talking about the geissele mk16.

The mk 8 and mk 4 both have good track records for retaining laser zero. Specifically the mk 4.

DD RIS II is hard to beat.
