Wow, that animation showing the various depth of parts of the sea floor and various shipwrecks was amazing. I had to look up the TRIESTE -- a sub that reached the deepest part of the Marianas Trench at almost 11,000 meters deep,

That sub was built in 1953 and achieved its world record setting goal in January of 1960!

That sub was built in 1953 and achieved its world record setting goal in January of 1960!

Interesting to note that military subs really don't go that deep on the scale of things.

Maybe the viewer glassy window got crushed by the trillion pounds of water…. The pressure is so heavy in there that I believe it is not a good spot for a tourism …

Said they were only hour and 45 min in when they lost coms. It also said it takes 8 hours to reach the bottom. So, I'm guessing they were only half a mile down?

Either way a nightmare! Not for me even if free.
