Tractor…to HST or Gear

Kubota M7060HDC

gearsnot hydrostatic

as is mentioned change direction without stopping if desired
Bigger than my needs brother. Got 2 3910 Fords on the farm for bush hogging and moving hay etc...Looking for something 4X4 with a loader to keep here in atlanta for my guys needs for cleanup on some of the commercial property's I handle.

I had a Kubota B7100 with HST for many years, great little tractor. Bought a 2017 LS 2025 HST with 150 hrs about four years ago and have been very pleased with it. 25 hp so no regen, FEL, scrape blade, tiller, and rear finish mower. Love the HST.

Depends on what you're using it for. In a smaller tractor that I planned to use with a variety of implements to do a variety of things, I'd go with gears. Much more versatility, and you can gear it down to get more power at lower speeds. For something bigger, or that you're just mostly using as a loader, hydrostatic. As others have said, gears with the shuttle shift is kind of the best of both worlds.
