I remember that very well. I used to drive by that place on my way home from 06 to about 09. Never stopped to talk with that guy but I assume he was crazy as hell.
Used to be another guy in Gray named Danny Daniels ( no ****) that worked on air cooled VWs . His place was surrounded by them along with everything that was ever VW powered like dune buggies and a damn ultralight plane. Basically a hang glider with a Beetle engine. Folks used to call it The Farm.
