Full length or the type 53? I like the short carbines. I'd like one with a bent bolt and the bayonet mount shaved off the side. They really are solid simple rifles.
$160.00 IS a damn good price. Even if they were bone stock it's a good deal. Over the last several years plain old Mosins have been going for about $300.00. I don't wanna be one of them "I remember when..." guys but it aint been that long when any Mosin was an $89.00 rifle retail anywhere you looked.
I bought one for $160 and picked from 2 crates and got one with a beautiful stock.I figured for a little extra $ the hand picking is worth it to me.mine is spotless with a recrowned barrel and a sweet bore.
