Tumbler on the fritz...

So, just went out to check a batch of brass I put in the tumbler last night and now it won't turn back on. When I flip the switch it just hangs there and buzzes without turning. If I give the fan on the bottom a good whack in the right direction it starts up. Anyone had this problem before?

It's a Hornady vibratory tumbler....

Sounds like the motor is trying to go out, or you have too much brass in the bowl.

Never had a problem before with 200 .45 shells, been running it that way for a couple of years. May just be time for a new one...

check to see if there is a capacitor, if its a psc motor.

if its a shaded pole motor, just open any box fan and replace.

I wondered about a starting capacitor. I'll take it apart this afternoon...

Hornady has great customer service. Contact them and you might get lucky.
