Had roughly 100’ turkeys meander from adjacent ridge to mine yesterday .
I quit counting at 60 Al with the ones that passed my tree and then I noticed the entire ridge was full of them still coming.
It was definitely the largest amount of turkeys I’ve ever seen on the move.
I’ve seen over 100 turkeys roasting on a ridge line in PA years ago near the Pittsburgh airport near a cornfield.
My buddy would let out a fly down call and the entire hillside with erupt with gobblers then they would dive bomb out of trees , across the field and land in the woods behind us.
That was a cool spot to hunt back in the day.
We used to watch giant herds of monster bucks sparring with young bucks right at the edge of the extended runway behind our building.
I swear western Pa had the largest white tails in the nation.
I one saw one rat had to weigh 425# .
It was being chased by a pack of domestic Yippie dogs and he didn’t seem to concerned because he stopped and looked at me and my father in law and then bounced away .
