I have a S&W Sigma with the silver stainless slide and barrel. I want it to be black. Anyone know of a way to do that ? (( Besides the usuall coating methods. ))

Ironic...I have a blackened stainless steel Sig that I think would look great if it were silver instead of black.

There is something called dilute. It is a mixture of black oil based paint and fine linseed oil. You have to mix together and then bake in the oven. When it is finished you have a baked on finish. This the same process the military used on M1 Garands for some parts during WW2. I have not tried it as of right now though. But can be done for around $20
