Two State Prisoners Kill Two GDC Guards and are armed and on the run in Putnam County

Why the hell were 2 convicts, convicted of armed robbery, on a work detail? Did somebody think that they 'had turned their lives around'?

They wouldn't be on a work detail. One had life without plus five. It had to be transfer day.

Anyone and everyone these two ever called from prison,got mail from or visited by is being questioned and watched right now. These two can't go anywhere near back home. About the only halfway smart thing I've read that they did so far was throwing out the phone of the guy they jacked the Civic from.
Believe me, the helicopters are circling and the hounds are tracking right now.

Bet money they're heading to Macon. Hopefully the Sheriff will have people watching his kin (Rowe's).

They do. Remember the silk screen place in W.R. called The Ink Spot? They had a guy working for them in the late 90s that went down. He walked away from a work detail around Griffin a few years later. Same day DOC sent tac squad guys over there and had everyone on the floor.
