TX-22 FRT

I’m not going to name names yet because I’m helping him work out some kinks but I’m testing out some steel and aluminum striker plates for both gen 1 and gen 2.
1. To reduce wear
2. To add weight to run suppressed without an optic or looking like you raided a tire shop for wheel weights.

I am going to be doing some polishing and fitting.

So far I was able to get Gen 2 Aluminum to run without any work, suppressed with subs and unsuppressed with standard velocity ammo. Still am going to pull it and clean up the manufacturing slag and polish everything.

I really want to run the steel, though. This will ensure virtually no wear to the critical parts that make these run.

Gonna need uptaes when these are available

can someone take a photo of the underside of the slide where the FRT interfaces with the slide? trying to figure out if my aluminum FRT has already eaten into the slide (after about 50 rounds?)...

Make sure yours isn’t designed like this. That sharp nub at the top will wear it down quick.

Just got the Lakeline + 2 pound recoil spring assembly . Will try it with just the factory optic added . Then will try with the Galloway optic plate and optic . The Galloway plate has a cavity forward of and under the optic so could put some tungsten weight in there , which I have , for more weight . Would need to be RTV’d or such in place . Will try it all out in the next few days . Fortunately I can shoot on my property , screw indoor ranges . Not FRT friendly .

I think it's about 2oz of weight that is recommended
