East Coast braces for invasion of palm-sized venomous spiders capable of flying

I was reading or listening to something about them recently. Claim their bite isn't harmful to humans, irritating at best. And they do eat pretty much anything that ends up in their web, even small birds.

I'll leave them alone, as long as they're not a di*k where they build a web... for example a external door or infront of a gate.

If they do that, then I gotta get my salt big iron out.

Seen these the last 4 years now. They're clearly finding their way further north. It's wild to see the webs they make.....literally seen some that were from a power pole on one side of the street to the other. Didn't see them the first year we lived in Toccoa. Following year there they were.

And yes, the Bug A Salt works great. As do wooden paddles. They actually make a pop sound when you hit them.

all spiders are venomous. these are harmless to humans.. i used to get a few on the side of the house... my wife hates it, but i let them stay and even feed them bugs... sadly i have not had them in the last few years... really beautiful creatures...
