Ugly gun?... or work of art?

At first I was intrigued by the Rhino revolvers. But then when I learned of the needless complexity of the fire control system, I was quickly turned off. The "hammer" isn't actually the hammer - it's just a cocking lever that springs back to its original position when you cock the gun.

I have shot one in .357. I liked it. It is innovative. Re-positioning the barrel may be the way to go in the future for the light weight, high caliber revolvers. The light weight .357 revolvers, especially in the J frame or small frame, are just not fun to shoot for any period of time. The complaints I have heard about the Rhino have be reliability problems. jwhited hit the nail on the head about the fire control system. Too many potential problems. But, it is the first of its kind and I would expect issues on a new platform. Now, if it looked more like a revolver, it might sell better. Dang that thing is ugly as a mud fence.
