As some of you may remember we had some of those crappy underline ads pop up about a month ago. They were coming in through one of our advertisers so we had to shut off the stream from them.

I am about to turn them back on and see if the issue is still occurring. If you get any underline ads PLEASE post in this thread and let us know.

If you have no idea what I am talking about I am referring to these types of ads:

If you see ads like these please post in this thread as they should not be there.

I get them all the time.
not very nice when your 8 y.o. daughter is standing by you and your mouse passes over the word "meet" then up pops a picture / ad telling you how you can "meet me tonight"and its a picture of a ladies chest with black bra.... all the years of teaching her integrity, doing the right thing and showing her that women have value but in an instant some illegal advertiser has implanted in my daughters mind that Daddy may be a hypocrite by viewing things I shouldn't. I was not a happy camper. Thanks for addressing this.

If this has been happening for you often then it is a different issue, you most likely have some sort of add-on or malware in your browser that is causing it. I haven't had any reports of them here for weeks.

On my desktop computer (that I am on right now) I have never seen one of them. BUT, when I am using my laptop, they are everywhere. Someone told me once how to get rid of them and I did it, but I do not remember what it was now. I know what you mead hedgehog, my 12 yo granddaughter stands behind me and watches me sometimes and it gets embarrassing sometimes.

C.D. Helped me get rid on them on my laptop in the ODT Site, so it is does not seem to be an ODT issue.

I still have the problem on another forum that I frequent. It is only when I use my laptop and Google Chrome browser.

Thanks for the help, C.D.

If anyone has these underline ads and can't make them leave, try spyware removal software. I have had these ads hit me on a non-ODT site in the past. I use the following free version software available from www.cnet.com "spywareblaster" and "spybot search & destroy" (spybot s&d). The vendors will attempt to get you to buy a paid version, but both have freebies available. I have used these particular programs for years without problems. Beware! Some of the similarly named programs can add problems to your system in order to sell you a cure. I don't remember specifically which program got rid of the ads. You may also try glary utilities from www.glarysoft.com It has a registry entry repair tool. Again, I have had no issues with these programs. However, use them at your own risk.

I had a problem like this on my computer. Mine was 'Text Enhance' malware. None of the malware removal tools would remove it. I found it was installed as part of a program I installed. Once I found how it got there, I removed the program I had installed and finally it went away. It was annoying and appeared on pretty much all websites since it was on my computer. I saw where other people who were trying to get rid of it were blaming it on websites, browsers, and forums. When it appears everywhere, it's probably on the receiving end.
