UPDATE 10/3 - Injunction covers all FPC members - ATF publishes their pistol brace rule

“The rule goes into effect on the date of publication in the Federal Register. The rule allows for a 120-day period for manufacturers, dealers, and individuals to register tax-free any existing NFA short-barreled rifles covered by the rule. Other options including removing the stabilizing brace to return the firearm to a pistol or surrendering covered short-barreled rifles to ATF. Nothing in this rule bans stabilizing braces or the use of stabilizing braces on pistols.”

So remove the brace and stow away until the infringement is overturned in a year or so?

why are you implying misinformation? Stablizing braces are "legal" however them being put on ANYTHING containing less than <16 inch barrels is ILLEGAL without a form 1

There's some valuable information in this post. It's a shame that it will probably be too late for most to take heed of.
In 2020 I helped both my bosses and one of my oldest friends assemble AR pistols. They were all 8.5" to 10.5" and all braced. As of last month I TRIED to explain the latest events to all of them. Only one of them , my cop friend listened and heeded my advice about removing the braces.
The other two ain't Gun People . They just knew they wanted/needed an AR during the Covid panic. I TRIED to explain the basics of the NFA and why they would want to avoid it . But like most non gun people all they knew was they bought some non NFA off the shelf typical gun shop parts two years ago and have no idea why that's a problem now. Again, these are two perfect examples of what's about to happen all over the country. It may seem strange to most of US...but there's lots of people out there who just wanna buy the gun load the mags put it in the closet and forget about it until they need it or wanna shoot it. And that goes for ARs and AKs just as much as handguns these days.

What are all the small and large gun stores, distributors going to do with their braced pistol inventory?
I'd guess discounts till the 120 day grace period expires, but then what?

Will Atlantic Firearms, PSA and other big names remove the brace and sell pistols at a discount?
I think they would have to discount them quickly, the way I read the 120 day grace period is that it gives you a 120 day grace period to register weapons you owned before the date the rule is entered in the register.

So if the date its entered in the register is today the 13th, if you bought it tomorrow the 14th you don't have the grace period.

I could be wrong but that is the way it reads to me deeper into the law.

The trick will be what date it is officially entered into the register. I would imagine some of the shops would want to discount and move those guns in the next few days or deal with re classing them.

I addressed that fact which tells me you aren't reading my posts whatsoever. Females do occasionally adopt the patterns and habits of their male suitors if the male exhibits the quality you've described. However that is not the NATURAL DEFAULT POSITION OF FEMALES. As such this reflects in their voting patterns.

And them turning red leaning because of a male only highlights what im telling you. They dont inherently believe in those values. They only model it for approval. Which means when you test their belief system or put any pressure on it when it matters they fall apart and are worth absolutely zero.

We've said our piece here and I think given the gravity of this 2A situation: Let's keep it back on point to the preservation of 2A rights Dude. Found this interesting: https://www.cleveland.com/news/2022...bach-over-biden-administration-gun-rules.html
