Unfortunately even a bare buffer tube provides a "shoulerable" surface that you could shoot from. No bull****. Read that earlier on in the ruling this morning and my jaw dropped.

I'm aware, threw my spare brace on to try and make sure it would count.

That shoulder-able thing involved whether a buffer tube counted as the 'surface area' that could be considered when determining whether something is a 'brace' or a 'stock'.

A buffer tube doesn't automatically make a pistol an SBR according to the rule, although it can contribute towards that in some completely unspecified way that the ATF won't tell us mere mortals.

Wish that was the case but so far none of the 'takings' lawsuits have stuck.

i am kinda thinking heck with a lawsuit. just bill them. when they dont pay, find some collection agency and class action it. tell the agency we are owed $200 for every bumpstock, and tell them if they collect we will accept $1 for each stock.
millions of bumpstocks got destroyed, i am sure someone would step up and try and collect...

indeed, but, surpised they went in a few hours, I know this is the easiest part. I assumed these would take a minute and be manually punched in since it's the special form.

They shut down their systems every Wed for maintenance, they were ready. The submission notification is instant, nothing to punch in. I'm curious about the pictures. Did you try to submit without them? They have never been required.....ever for sbrs on manufactured lowers, but the new crowd seems convinced it's a must.

I wasn’t going to if I did them on my own time, did photos for these to cover bases. Had an ever so small glimmer of I’m sure false hope that photos may help it go easier since it’s under the special stuff. In hindsight that may mean the lower gets kicked back but meh might as well try.
