UPDATE 10/3 - Injunction covers all FPC members - ATF publishes their pistol brace rule

I'd put money on the free form 1s there will be no way to remove it from the registry like the traditional ones. Its basically saying it was NFA when it came to you, you didn't create it, so you can't remove it. What a crock.....
Probably so, they are just compiling a dog murder list

If it's on a form 1, means u are the "manufacturer ". U should be able to remove it from the registry. Right?

I may be wrong but it looks like they are holding it out entirely as something separate. It's only for qualifying pistols that already have braces. eg...You can't do the "tax free" application on a stripped lower that you intend to put a brace on. You have to submit photos of the gun at time of filing. So it may not have all the same attributes of a traditional sbr. It may be a while till we know all the deets

A traditional form 1, yes. An after the fact with pictures and no stamp fee...I'd put money on no. You weren't the manufacturer, the name on the lower was, they just changed the classifications and now it needs to be registered. What a mess.....

What of any of this makes sense?

So i know an older gentleman that is slowly loosing the use of his shooting hand. He has been an avid shooter all of his life. He has kinda lost interest in shooting the past year or so, due to the cost of ammunition and the calibers he has.

Talked him into buying a SW 15-22 P, and he has now gotten back into shooting. It's cheaper, and the set up allows him to actually control his shooting performance. Taught him to use a red dot !!

And now this news from the ATF......

If your friend was on YouTube showing himself using the brace on his arm, we wouldn't be in this mess.....
