UPDATE 10/3 - Injunction covers all FPC members - ATF publishes their pistol brace rule

thats not the point. the point is they are trying to regulate braces, and using them to reclassify a gun. so by keeping the brace, not turning it in, not destroying it, not modifying it so it no longer functions, and still using it.....will in fact annoy the crap out of them...
it has nothing to do with safety
it is just overreach.
What you could do to really annoy them is to falsely claim that you got a faulty product from them that you didn't actually get from them at all.

The Only thing happening with this atf bull**** law is putting more weapons (that They don't want to face themselves) into hands of criminals! Folks ain't going to give their guns away, especially the ones they bought legally! Those weapons will bring a high dollar on the street to the people who don't give a flip what the law says.
Sit back and watch it unfold.

or just wait for all the info to come thru the odt know it all hotline.

So the ATF isn’t going to collect the $200 fee, but is it really being waived or simply not required when you submit the form? What is the chance that someone submits 5 or 6 and in 121 days gets a bill for $1200 and if you are unwilling or unable to pay, you must surrender the weapon(s).
From what I understand there could be a very real chance of that happening. Congress, decides changes in tax policy, and since it is a tax they are waiving, I am guessing they didn't check with congress first before they decided to arbitrarily waive a fee. So at the end of the day when it all shakes out thru the courts, the one thing that could actually stick, is the tax, unless congress allows it.

But the party is not "removing relevent parts".

They're adding a brace(or stock) - manufacturing a firearm.

Seems completely different.

The brace is no longer relevant. They are saying that oops we made a mistake, these braced pistols should've never been allowed, and now your in possession of a prohibited SBR. And per the existing rules, a foreign made braced pistol (now SBR) is already assembled and thus cannot be brought in 922r compliance. So either surrender it to us or destroy it.

Now granted the doc is piss poorly written, but this is what it appears to be.
