Upgrades

The real issue is that the value of an 'upgrade' is in the buyer's, not the seller's eye.

  1. If I see an 'upgrade' that is something like a CGW trigger job, and there's proof it was done - that's worth something to me.
  2. An 'upgrade' like a larger takedown lever - is of no value to me. It's not something I'd likely put on a gun, so it's irrelevant to me and I don't see any reason to pay you more for it.
  3. An 'upgrade' like a badly-executed stipple job - is simply vandalism. That detracts from the value of the gun.
We'd likely have differing opinions on (1) and (2) above, but I think we can all agree that (3) is not really an upgrade. I'd even put Cerakote jobs in this category in some situations. Even well-executed ones.
