US military operations considered "politics" here and moved

Trying to understand how the post from last night regarding the military action in the middle east is now "politics" and cannot be discussed here by the general members? Is the subject of the military action near and dear to the hearts of the mods??????

There are several highly decorated combat vets on this board(not me) that have valid strong opinions about violence in foreign countries. Things get a bit edgy for the general public to view in these conversations.

It's a gun trading website. If you're not mature enough for adult discussions about real world events then you probably shouldn't be on a website that deals with firearms.

It probably was not the initial discussion as much as it was the other aspects of the thread...like how fast it degenerated into garbage name calling and derailing. In other words, it became a typical ODT craptasm.

Purple Hearts, Bronze stars, stuff like that. I have all the good conduct and participation medals myself. Some guys here ate dirt and slung lead. They aren’t keen on ME wars.
