Value of a 90's model Ruger77/22?

If its THAT clean and has the original rings and perhaps the box you have a $600 version.. :)
I don't 'think I have the box, not sure about the rings. What do they look like? The only way you could tell it's not new is on the bottom of the fore end in the checkeingr there are a couple very tiny spots of white. It is old baby powder from my dad's bench rest set up. I've never cleaned it out intentionally. :)
Just checked SN, born in 1985.

Back in the day the rings would be blue also and with all 77/22's the same height (as opposed to the M77's where the rear is 1# higher).. They never used to put numbers on them but the new ones are #4 medium I think..

Being in the "Mecca" of .22 rifle country, when I see a beautiful example of a 77/22 walking around a gun show I fully expect to get quoted a price of $650 - $700. While that might be on the high side, they are known to sell in the $600 - $650 range on a regular basis, depending on condition / box / docs / rings, etc. Seller motivation is the biggest factor, obviously, but I have found that most owners of the better condition rifles are not usually "motivated" sellers, but are mostly enjoying the attention they are getting by being in possession of one of Ruger's crown jewels of rifles.

Since mine is inherited does that make it my family jewels? If so I'd rather not draw attention to it. I mean it's a nice little rifle and all but still...

I guess you could look at it that way! Maybe we need to have a Ruger shoot at your river shack kinda like the S&W Revolver Shoot we had a couple years ago. I'd be in for a road trip for that one, for sure!
