I thought there was a Cold War Medal, I got the Certificate while on active duty. I'm checking now.

The National Guard, has a Official Cold War Medal, but not the Regular Military does NOT, cannot go on uniform. WTF
Turns out there is an unofficial commemorative medal available. Officially only LA and AK Guard units can wear the medal. We can wear it in civilian clothes on special occasions. They've tried to get an official medal for years with no success. A Cold War Victory certificate can be requested and is available for Cold War veterans.
I must have been researching at the same time. Retirees and veterans can wear it in uniform or with civvies on holidays and celebrations. Young man who graduated with my daughter is going to AF OTS in January or March. I may pick one up for his commissioning if I can lose enough weight to fit back into a uniform.
