Wouldn't that be if it was sold in Georgia to a Georgia address? Pretty sure sales tax is only enforceable if it's purchased in the same state it's being shipped to. I don't know the law but that's what I've understood it to be.

I don't believe that is accurate. Are any accountants part of the group that can clarify?
 
Most states have a threshold that require businesses who surpass it to charge sales tax. I’m not an accountant but have run into the issue at work when evaluating price matches. I work for an online retailer. Businesses who don’t meet the nexus for the state/s they operate in, I believe, don’t have to charge sales tax. This is speculative as again not an accountant but what I’ve been told. Not sure if it’s 100% accurate.
