vz58~vz2008 fixed stock

How hard was it to loosen and remove the nut inside the receiver to remove your folding stock?

Mine was pretty easy, just need a large enough screwdriver to fit in the nut at the end. I've heard a few folks had trouble as they spray on finish was also sprayed on the screw and then "screwed in", making it a bugger to remove. Some folks used a heat gun, hair dryer, penetrating oil, hammer/chisel/vise to break it loose. Mine came loose with a good twist of a large screwdriver (3/8" wide I believe).

I have several VZ's and the nut was a bear on the two I replaced. Finally "fashioned" a nut driver and used an electric impact wrench that easily broke it loose. If you can't find matching colored plastic wood, you can do a complete rifle upgrade, as in my version shown.

I had to use an impact screwdriver to get mine loose... I tried the beaver barf fixed stock for a few mags and found it beats your cheek up harder than the folder so I sold mine

The fixed stocks are pretty good, especially compared to the folders. I'm kicking myself that I didn't order the fixed at the time, since now all you can find are the wire stocks.

The FAB is a great pistol grip. It doesn't really match the traditional furniture but for 'modernized' builds it works great and is a huge improvement over the typical AK grip.
