Wally World price match

The service level at Wal-Mart is always determined by the individual employee you're dealing with. It's why the place is so infuriating, you never can predict how or if a problem will be solved. I have a feeling the ones that do a good job get pushed out eventually. It's the exact opposite of chick fila. No matter how big a ghetto you're in, chick fila always had good service.

Huh? WTH?? I thought I was agreeing with you. :noidea:

Sorry for the testy-ness then. I guess when you're already Pissed off, you find things that really wasn't there.

I suppose I miss-interpreted you're statement into "I had no logic for them not matching the price and me not having the logic to buy online and pick up immediately". My apologies sir.:sorry:

Whew. No worries man. I thought I had lost it and had to re-read it a few times myself thinking "What they heck did I say!?!" ;)
What I meant, of course was THEIR logic (or the lack thereof) in honoring OTHER people's online prices but not honoring their own yet allowing a customer to purchase online and pick up at the store. But hey, they are the biggest... I bet somewhere along some pricing matrix it's saving them $0.50. ;)

Yeah... wonder why that is?.....

On the online price match thing, you CAN go on your phone and order it online and have it 'shipped to store' and then pick it up immediately. No logic...

Walmart's ship to store option is pretty stupid IMO and doesn't work like nearly every other retailer's. I've unfortunately done it several times at WM and every time it took about a week for my item to be available for pick-up. The amount of time it takes makes you think they actually ship it from another warehouse instead of pulling it from that store's inventory.

Ha! Wouldn't doubt it. I've only done it once (I think) but I do remember one time with a price issue they wouldn't match on a fairly expensive item. The woman said "You can order it online to get that price and to a store pick up". I said "OK I'll do it right now". She quickly pointed out "It could take several hours to work it's way through our system." I just looked at her and said "Seriously?...." She sort of looked around and said "Come here....." She walked over to a register punched in some code, marked the item down to the online price and sold it to me. I've admitedly not tested that again. I'm sure it does cost more per item to have it sit on a brick and mortar retail shelf but for crying out loud....

And yet they give the option to pick up immediately if the item is in stock at the pick up store!? As I said in a previous post, that option took over 5 hours and I still didn't get my item. I had to leave the state and hope the order would cancel and refund so I wasn't just out $40 because of their wonderful immediate pick up.

My best and most favorite Walmart experience to this date was at the Bells Ferry Walmart in Woodstock about 4 months ago. So everyone knows you can't buy ammo online at Walmart. They list it on there but it just says "In Store Only". Well, on the Walmart Iphone app, 50 packs of Federal 9mm were listed for $11.67, which is a pretty good price IMO. When I went to the store they were the standard $14.67. Of course they didn't want to honor that price. I argued with them until I was blue in face about price matching. I told them how stupid it was to advertise it for $11.67 as "In Store Only" then not honor the price once I'm in store. It's impossible to buy the ammo online, Walmart won't let you! It was classic bait-n-switch and complete BS. After, no joke, 30 minutes, 3 different associates and 2 manages they finally price matched me. They probably realized I wasn't going anywhere until they gave me what I wanted. I bought my 3 and my gf bought 3. The $11.67 price on the app was fixed very quickly after that incident. They are a bunch of turds.
