Walmart ammo availability thread - Post what you see available & where!

I have noticed that Walmart in Cobb county, do not sell firearms- specifically, hwy41 near days Chevy, the one near town center mall and the one near the victory motorcycle dealer, also on 41, but all three had plenty of .223 Tula
The Walmart across from Days due sell guns and they have a bunch of ARs and most ammo except .22 and 9 usually.
I can't remember if the one on Chastain near Town Center does or not. I go to so many
Walmart in Calhoun has bricks of .22lr as of 15minutes ago
Did you notice the price?
Still no .22lr in Lafayette as of yesterday. They did have some .223 and 9mm though.
I have had no luck at any Walmart I have tried. I think the employees tip off those that pay them for availability notices. Found some at Dick's by being there at opening time. I noticed there was several others waiting for ammo too. I had been giving a "tip" from an employee and it paid off. Showed up again the next time ammo was expected and found no one waiting at the door and no .22 in that day. My only luck of finding product has been online if I order as soon as the stock is shown. Usually around .06-.07/round. I think the new norm for prices will be in the .10/round at the retail outlets - when in stock.

Freebird you have a lot of good points. What I do is just find out what time ammo is put out. Then just go everyday you can. Sometimes you hit and a lot of times you don't. I would say I'm 2 for 20 the past three weeks. I got to stop shooting so much. Hope this helps. Which wal mart are you going too?
They must have just started selling guns. I go there quite often and have never seen a gun for sale. I have bought 5.56 and .223 ammo there around the first of the year. I will have to go there in the morning and check out the gun selection.
