There is a ton of Walmart ammo in-stock now in the ammo classifieds section. No need to drive all over town to find it. There are some real stand-up guys that will do it for you.

The problem is that just shows what they are SUPPOSED to have in stock. Doesn't account for employees hoarding it for their buddies or 'customers' giving them a kick back.
Last time I used it a local shop supposedly had some in stock. Naive clerk couldn't understand why there was none in the shelf when I asked so he deleted it out of their inventory online. Then he went to ask Rasta-mon manager why that was as it should never happen. When he told him he deleted it Rasta-mon got wide eyed and told him to put it back immediately and that they'd "fix it later". Naive clerk was still clueless when I left.

The 2 Wal-Marts that I visited had racks of AMMO except for .22 AMMO.
