Walmart ammo availability thread - Post what you see available & where!

They order way in advance. It's not like a drive in window. What's on their shelves was ordered last year and has been in the
pipeline for months. It's not a faucet they can cut on and off. I assume a district manager/buyer or store manager can choose to not re-order something but they are in business to sell stuff and ammo is stuff. It's all about profits and they need to increase theirs. The ammo cabinets in their stores are expensive real estate and are expected to generate sales so if they are not going to stock them with ammo then they will take them out and replace them with something else. Haven't seen that happen yet and don't expect it to happen anytime soon.

I know how the ordering system works at Walmart and I agree with you that Walmart is all about the money so I doubt at a time when ARs and ammo are selling as fast as its coming in that Walmart would stop now, but Survivor Johnny said they were going to stop ammo sales altogether and then questioned boycotting them without providing any evidence of his statement.

Walmart on Hudson Bridge, McDonough, has 22Mag ammo. No 22LR or 9MM. Sales rep told me they had stopped shipping in ammo and guns....don't know if this is for all stores of just the one I was in.

Dawsonville Walmart had some .380, 270, and 30-06, but not much else. I found a box of Winchester M22 (2k rounds) 22lr on a rolling rack of items about to be put on the shelf. It came home with me. :)

Lovejoy (southern Clayton County) store has had WWB 9mm 100 round value box the past two Friday mornings. I got some last week and decided to stop again this morning and they had just unpacked another 10-20 boxes. I doubt there is any left but it may be worth checking next Friday morning if you're in the area. Price increase from last week from 23.97 to 24.47. BTW... I noticed the sticker for the Federal 100 round box changed from 19.97 to 21.37 (it was 21 something). I haven't seen any Federal 100 round boxes since I bought the last two at Walmart Peachtree City around New Years.
