Walmart ammo availability thread - Post what you see available & where!

Why is my Walmart always out of ammo. It's July and the Walmart on Windward Pkwy in Alpharetta has been out of ammo since the first of the year. Every time I ask about it I get the Deer in headlights look.

If you watch the Walmart App you will see ammo when it comes in stock. Down here it shows up on the app around 5-6pm. Basically when the manifest from the truck gets scanned, the items show up as in stock.

Some stores will put it out around 9pm, others will hold it for the 7 am crowd.

Most likely you are just going at the wrong time. Some .45, .40, 7.62 stays on the shelf for 6-12 hours, but the 9mm, .22 gets sold quick.

Most of these shipments consist of 10 boxes of each caliber, so it only takes 7 people to wipe out the 9 and .22 with a 3 box limit.

If you watch the ammo forum and notice the people selling, all the time, with the same location as you. Make your own conclusions. Just saying.

The Walmart in Woodstock on Bells Ferry has plenty of Tula .40 and a few WWB .40 left.

That's not true. They produce billions a day and no ammo? Nah lies.

Walmart in Jesup, Ga. had a bunch of Tula BrassMaxx 9mm yesterday, never tried it but it's the first ammo I have seen at WM in months so I picked up 3 boxes.

I buy ammo there. Have bought 9..22..40..45 and 233 all in the last month there. I stop every morning on the way to work.

If you follow the Walmart App you can get ammo at Walmart. If you check at 7am and 9pm you can get ammo.

I was able to buy almost 10,000 rounds of ammo from my 4 surrounding Walmarts from March-May using the app, and not taking no for an answer. Very few boxes were bought off the shelf. Most of the time i had to show the associate where it was showing in stock on the app, and have them punch the stock number into their inventory gun.
It will show how many boxes are on hand and then you have to persuade the guy to go in the back and look for it. Kindness but firmness will get the job done.

It's there and can be had if you are determined enough.

Saw some 22 mag at the Walmart in Loganville. They had about 8 boxes of 50 @ $17.

7 boxes 22 subsonic, various 5.56, 7.62, 9, 40, 45 etc. Walmart . . . In . . . Billings Montana . I wanted the sub sonic but three box limit isn't worth the trouble to ship home. Cabelas had no 22lr at all.
