Walmart ammo availability thread - Post what you see available & where!

3/1/14, Wal-Mart Hinesville Georgia. Was able to score some ever illusive Federal 357 Mag JSP today, and a box of American Eagle 38 Special 158 Grain LRN, Price was normal about $24.00 a box for 50. Have found cheaper but the dang 357 Mag has been so hard to find lately that I just bit the bullet. I did not notice and .22 at all, there was lots of 40 in Winchester White Box 50 and 100 round packs, also a couple boxes of WWB 9mm. There were a couple boxes of 357 Mag left and I may go back tomorrow to check if I have time.

3/2 - 11:45am - Just left the Lawrenceville Hwy Walmart and they had about 12 or so boxes of mini mags. Had quite a bit of .45, not much of 9mm

3/3 0900 walmart Winder GA had plenty of .22 ammo 100 rounds cci 7.45 3 box limit.

Saw some Speer Gold Dot .22wmr in one yesterday and had never even heard of it. It had no ballistics markings on it. Wanted to try it in my rifle so picked up 2 boxes. Well I found it now. http://www.speer-ammo.com/products/short_brl.aspx Apparently not exactly what I was hoping for.

Ha, I may just. Good reason to figure out my chrono I guess and test it. I see now in what is about microscopic print (seriously, maybe 1mm tall) on the label it does say "short barrel personal protection". Apparently this is a new load for them.

Anyone interested, the Wal-Mart in Rex, Near Ft. Gillem has the Winchester White Box 45-ACP 230gr JHP 50 rounds per box. I forgot, $33.57 per box, and they still have the 3 box limit. And NO 22lr of any kind..Ray

Our local stores (Evans/Grovetown) had plenty of Federal .223 for $7.37 a box today. GTown also had a case full of brown box Federal XM193 for $7.37 a box. It is usually $10.97 per box. I bought 200 rounds...
