Anyone heard of someone actually getting a walmart colt recently? I feel like even if I call everyday and they say they have one it will be gone by the time I get there. They told me they can't hold a gun for anyone and they do not take orders for guns not in stock. Maybe I can seduce a walmart girl into colt watching for me...

Or better yet, I'll hire a day laborer to stand by the gun counter all day everyday. It'll still be cheaper than gunbroker.

Academy is getting a couple every other day from what I have heard. People line up at 6:30 to get them. Selling for same price as before.

Colt, Sig, Bushmaster and DPMS would have one hell of a breach of contract lawsuit if this were true.

Not sure of how you arrived at that conclusion. Retailers place orders for goods. They receive them. They sell the goods. They pay the manufacturer or distributor for them. Usually in roughly that order. I doubt any other contract other than the purchase order exists.

In fact, the way it usually works is the opposite: Manufacturers and distributors crawl into the Walmart buyers' offices, begging for placement of product on the shelves. Walmart sometimes sets up hoops for them to jump through (slotting fees, old inventory buybacks, manufacturer promotional dollars, additional discounts, etc.). DPMS, Bushmaster, etc., have zero leverage. Walmart could just as easily say "see ya, we're giving that space in the rifle case to [fill in the blank of a competitor]". It's the manufacturer or distributor who is more likely to have some additional, contractual obligation.

One Walmart got 5 in today and some guy brought it and listed it for like $1200 + trade today if I'm not mistaken.

You need to get in good with the UPS guy or girl that delivers the ARs to Walmart. Figure out when UPS makes their deliveries and in like flint.
