Walmart Marlins

I can't find a good used Marlin 30-30 at a good price. Everybody wants the new price. So I have decided to break down and buy one of the Remington made Marlins. Its my grandson's first deer rifle and he may take to it and he may not. Also all the Walmarts around here aren't selling rifles anymore. Has anybody been to a Walmart anywhere near Atlanta that has the new Marlin 30-30 for sale. The last one I saw was in Covington for $349.00 about a year ago. Tell me where you see it or where the store is and if I can verify it I can reward the tip. I figure it would save me that much in gas money. Thanks

You need to go outside the perimeter, esp to the south.

I know I will sound like a hater of the new Remlins, but lately, I have seen quite a few JM stamped, real Marlins, for sell for around the price you want to pay. I believe the older Marlins have a better chance of retaining their value than the newer Remlins. Just my opinion.

If I were you I'd look at a ruger American compact that is what I got my son a year or so ago and he loves it you can pick one of them up for around 320

Wal-Mart in Athens I think has them, seen some rifles a couple days ago can't confirm what they were.
