I think you misstated what you were trying to say. You told us what you think but attributed it to me. I actually trust the police and support them. It is you that is leery and mistrusting towards them.

This is what you said I believe, "think the government is designed to protect itself instead of the people".

You think it is about money....hmmm....explain how the actions in that video you posted brought in money for the police department.

The way I see it, the justice system costs us money, it is not a money making venture. The fines associated with minor violations merely serves to offset some of the costs. I really doubt that many police departments actually make money.

do you know what the cost of a typical dui will run you? considering it carries a probationary period in which you have to pay it off. Now im not saying the officers get the $ involved in this clearly by the pay they receive. If you believe the department of corrections or traffic violations do not turn a profit youre stupider than I thought. have you ever went to traffic court? I have " running a stop sign"( it was a crosswalk stop for peds at 12 oclock at night) (in this situation. yes the cop was being a dick and just used any reason to pull me over.. simply over location)... anyway, the place was overly crowded just with people that were made show up for super speeder, seatbelt violations, couldn't pay ticket right then... ect. The number of people that just go online to pay tickets is astronomical as well. I would love to see what kinda $ is ran thru that account #

You have no idea how the legal system works. Every case is monetized through the Treasury. Ask any trial lawyer if I'm right and watch the squirming commence.
